PERICH CENTRE LAUNCH - SEPTEMBER 2025
SXR at the launch of The Perich Centre for Robotics and Health Technology
4 September, 2025 marked the launch of Ingham Institute’s Perich Centre for Robotics and Health Technology, a flagship hub created to advance health equity through innovation.
The launch brought together great minds across technology, medical excellence and government, including the NSW Government Minister for Medical Research The Hon. David Harris and Dr Glen Schlaphoff, the Clinical Lead for the Centre.
A demonstration of SXR’s integrated teleproctoring and live stream collaboration was a significant part of this landmark occasion.
The event showed how platforms, device manufacturers, hospitals, proceduralists, surgeons and the public sector are working together for improved patient outcomes, more ready access to healthcare and a scalable structure to address the needs of a growing population.
In the words of the Ingham Institute, “Guided by the Perich family’s passion, Professor Les Bokey’s vision, and the leadership of Dr Glen Schlaphoff, the Centre is set to become a national and international leader in “tech-quity” – using technology to close health care gaps.”
